March 2, 2010 The Cavaliers have officially contacted Zydrunas Ilgauskas about re-signing with the team when he is eligible later this month, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Our View:With Shaquille O'Neal now likely to miss the rest of the regular season, signing Z is even more imperative for the Cavs. Expect him to do so, but he can't officially sign a deal until March 22. Our View:Ilgauskas wants to win a championship, and Denver is currently ranked No. 2 in the Western Conference standings with a 37-19 record. The 7-foot-3 vet would improve their depth and defense, and also improve their odds of winning the NBA title. |
