Fanhouse.com is reporting that Cleveland center Zydrunas Ilgauskas is considering retiring at the end of the 2009-2010 season. Ilgauskas said he will see how he feels at the end of the season before making a decision on his future.

Our View:Big Z is getting up there in age at 34, but the addition of Shaq figures to limit his minutes this season. You would think that limited minutes could prolong his career, but he will still evaluate how he feels after the season before making a decision. If he can make it through this year healthy, he could very well return for at least one more year, but an injury, especially a serious one, would probably signal the end.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Cavaliers may look to trade center Zydrunas Ilgauskas at some point next season. Ilgauskas has an expiring $11.5 million contract, and there are several teams who will be looking for a salary dump going into the much anticipated free agent summer of 2010.

Our View:With the Big Diesel in the fold now, Big Z will become expendable as long as Shaq stays healthy. The article makes a good point concerning the expiring contract, and it would make sense that a bunch of teams would like to trade for Z to help them down the stretch and to dump his expiring contract. Don't be shocked if a move is made at some point in the next few months.

Our View:Big Z will be 34 next week, but he told the paper that he wants to be a Cav next year. With Ben Wallace contemplating retirement and Anderson Varejao a free agent, the Cavs should welcome Big Z's commitment to the team.

Our View:Big Z looked fine after returning, but ankle injuries are always an issue with the big man. He should be good to go after getting some rest, but it is something to keep an eye on.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas is questionable for tonight's game at Orlando while recovering from a small fracture in his left ankle, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:He hasn't played since December 30, and would draw a tough assignment against elite center Dwight Howard and Co. if able to return tonight. He should be held out of lineups until he proves to be productive again.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who is recovering from a small fracture in his left ankle, is hoping to return to the court Thursday at Orlando, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He said, "I missed not playing. I missed the guys. I've been home all this time, so I missed the camaraderie. It has been frustrating. So more than anything, I'm happy to get a sweat in, starting playing and be around the guys. I missed it a lot."

Our View:Ilgauskas wants to compete against elite center Josh Howard Thursday, when the division leaders do battle. This is encouraging news, but it would be a very tough match-up in his first game back if given the green light to play.
