Internet rumors persist that the Detroit Pistons may be willing to move veteran point guard Chauncey Billups for draft picks. Several media locations suggest that the team is interested in Baron Davis.

Our View:Supposedly the word in the Bay Area is that Davis does not want to opt out of the final year of his contract with the Warriors, but that he's also not satisfied with extension talks he has had with the team.

Chauncey Billups has pulled his name out of the Team USA hat for this summer's Olympic games, the AP reports. The Pistons point guard battled a right hamstring injury late in the playoffs.

Our View:Hey, you're either with us or against us, Chauncey! Clearly you've stated your position. We're kidding, of course.

Detroit president Joe Dumars shocked more than a few reporters today in announcing he intends to "shake up" the team's primary players this off-season, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Our View:Dumars went on to suggest all of his players in open for trade discussions, and Rasheed Wallace could be the most coveted player in that group. His expiring contract is attractive and he offers tremendous gifts on the floor. Reporters also speculate guard Chauncey Billups could be headed out of Detroit. His lack of defensive effort and his growing age (not to mention the rise of Rodney Stuckey) are negatives in this system.
