Tracy McGrady's knees "continue to ail him," according to the New York Post.

Our View:For the moment, the Knicks are considered no sure thing to re-sign him this summer. Since arriving via trade last month, he is averaging 11.1 points and 4.5 assists per game in 12 games.

Tracy McGrady has recently admitted to feeling "shot," according to Newsday's Alan Hahn. Hahn says his legs "just aren't there" as he continues his long recovery from microfracture surgery.

Our View:However, the good news is that T-Mac has yet to suffer any sort of a long-term setback, and looks like, after a summer of tough conditioning, he could again be a great fantasy option in 2010-11. Stay tuned.

Tracy McGrady will be back in action for the Knicks when they face San Antonio tonight, according to Newsday's Alan Hahn.

Our View:T-Mac was held out on Monday with general soreness but will return to New York's starting lineup tonight. He'll continue to be inconsistent but is probably worth playing whenever you know he'll be active.
March 8, 2010
Tracy McGrady has been ruled out for tonight's game against Atlanta, according to NBA writer Mike Slane's twitter page.

Our View:McGrady is dealing with soreness, and the club decided to hold him out. He is a very good player when healthy, but unfortunately has a terrible track record with durability over his career.

Tracy McGrady (knee) is expected to play against Cleveland on Monday, according to Newsday.

Our View:T-Mac sat out the second half of the Knicks' game on Saturday after his knee stiffened up, but it looks like he'll be good to go tonight. Still, his minutes should be somewhat limited, so think about keeping him reserved if you have another decent option.
February 27, 2010
Tracy McGrady is doubtful to play in the second half of New York's showdown with the Grizzlies on Saturday night after his infamous knee again stiffened up, according to Newsday's Alan Hahn.

Our View:So it goes: death, taxes and T-Mac knee injuries.
February 27, 2010
According to the New York Post, Tracy McGrady's balky knee stiffened up late in the third quarter of Friday's game and he did not return.

Our View:McGrady's knee problems are nothing new, so this isn't a shocker. He left the game with two and a half minutes remaining in the third quarter, and Coach Mike D'Antoni tried to get him back in for the fourth, but McGrady said the knee was too tight. On the bright side he did finish with 23 points in his limited action.
February 24, 2010
Tracy McGrady (knee) admitted to not feeling confident "on the basketball court" after New York's loss to Boston on Tuesday, according to the New York Post.

Our View:That is not something you should say to the New York press. Unless T-Mac can get his balky knee to cooperate soon, he could be in for a long, miserable layover in New York City.
February 23, 2010
Tracy McGrady scored just six points but did dish out eight assists against Boston on Tuesday night.

Our View:Thinking he'll score 26 points every night, as he did in his Knicks debut, is clearly unrealistic. Still, with a secure starting gig, he figures to get enough playing time to continue to put up decent-enough numbers to be worth playing.
February 23, 2010
According to the New York Times' Howard Beck, Tracy McGrady (knee) is officially probable for Tuesday night against the Celtics.

Our View:Well that didn't take long, did it? Expectations were unrealistically high for "Knee"-Mac in New York, and it's probably best this cold shower of reality came sooner rather than later. He's worth owning for the moment in all formats, just don't hold your breath for greatness, and don't be afraid to cut the cord if he starts dealing with lingering injuries.
February 22, 2010
Tracy McGrady was bothered by his balky knee during tonight's battle versus the Bucks, and is uncertain for Tuesday's game at Boston, according to the New York Daily News.

Our View:McGrady led New York with 15 points tonight, but was reportedly having trouble and dragging his leg throughout the contest. He looks to be a risky fantasy option for tomorrow.
February 22, 2010
Tracy McGrady poured in a team-high 15 points in tonight's 83-67 home loss to the Bucks. He also notched four rebounds and one assist.

Our View:T-Mac had a solid outing while coming off a 26-point performance against Oklahoma City. It looks like he should fit in fine in New York, and will be worth holding in fantasy leagues as long as he can avoid the injury bug.
February 20, 2010
Tracy McGrady racked up 26 points in tonight's 121-118 home loss to the Thunder, to go along with four rebounds, five assists and one steal. He started the game and handled 32 minutes of action.

Our View:McGrady had a strong debut with New York, and is worth scooping up if dangling on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues. He could be a nice option as long as he stays healthy.
February 20, 2010
Tracy McGrady will start for the Knicks against the Thunder on Saturday, according to Newsday.

Our View:With the Knicks wasting no time in getting him into their starting lineup, hopefully you wasted no time in taking a flier.
February 20, 2010
Tracy McGrady says that he "nearly 100 percent" over the microfracture knee surgery that has sidelined him a majority of the past year, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:He also says he will "embrace the opportunity" to stay in New York this summer if the Knicks want to keep him, and that "money is not an issue." If he plays like even half the player he once was this season, expect the Knicks to at least entertain the thought of keeping him.
February 19, 2010
Howard Beck (New York Times) tweeted that Tracy McGrady will probably start for the Knicks on Saturday versus the Thunder.

Our View:McGrady is still capable of solid production, assuming he can avoid the injury bug. He is worth targeting if dangling on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues.
February 19, 2010
Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni suggested that Tracy McGrady will be immediately inserted into his team's rotation, according to Newsday's Alan Hahn.

Our View:As long as his physical clears, it looks like T-Mac owners can feel comfortable activating him for tomorrow's game against the Thunder, as McGrady figures to start and see a significant number of minutes as long as he's able to hold up. While his best days are clearly behind him, he's still an absolute must-add if he happens to still be available in any leagues.
February 18, 2010
Tracy McGrady has gotten his wish and been traded to the New York Knicks, according to ESPN.

Our View:McGrady's fantasy value will go up in the sense that now he will actually have some, but it's unclear what kind of contributor he is going to be coming off of major knee surgery. Still, you have to like him playing in Mike D'Antoni's up-tempo offense. If unowned, he is worth an immediate add in all formats.

In a stunning turn of events, Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the Rockets have agreed in principle to trade disgruntled guard Tracy McGrady to the Kings for Kevin Martin.

Our View:The proposed deal would send McGrady, Carl Landry and Joey Dorsey to the Kings, with Martin, Sergio Rodriguez, Hilton Armstrong and Kenny Thomas coming to Houston. There is also speculation that McGrady could eventually (before today's trading deadline) get funneled to the Knicks. Obviously, stay tuned.
February 17, 2010
Kncks and Rockets officials remain confident that a deal sending Tracy McGrady to New York can be consummated before the NBA's Thursday afternoon trading deadline, according to ESPN.

Our View:The sides are still wrangling over the draft picks that will be included in the deal, but expect T-Mac to be a New York Knick this time tomorrow.
February 16, 2010
According to PhillySports.com, the Knicks are apparently close to a deal for Tracy McGrady that will send Jared Jeffries, Larry Hughes, Jordan Hill, a swap of 2011 first-round picks and New York's 2012 first-round pick to the Rockets.

Our View:There may be some hesitation over the protection of the draft picks, but this is the closest a deal has gotten so far for McGrady. The Rockets apparently have an offer from the Bulls as well, but this seems more concrete. Don't give up on McGrady until his status shakes out in NYC. Assuming he lands there.
February 15, 2010
The Knicks are reportedly in serious talks to acquire Tracy McGrady from the Rockets, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Our View:McGrady has a $23MM expiring contract. In a proposed deal, New York would deal Jared Jeffries, Jordan Hill and either Al Harrington or Larry Hughes to Houston in exchange for McGrady, Joey Dorsey and Brian Cook.
February 10, 2010
Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the Rockets are "in the discussion stages of a complicated, three-team trade that would send Tracy McGrady to the New York Knicks."

Our View:The deal would supposedly include the Wizards sending Caron Butler and Brendan Haywood to the Rockets with New York's Al Harrington going to Washington. As usual with these potential mega-deals, stay tuned.
January 31, 2010
The Wizards and Rockets are reportedly discussing a deal centered around disgruntled Houston guard Tracy McGrady, according to ESPN.

Our View:No deal is imminent, but the Rockets are said to be interested in forward Caron Butler and center Brendan Haywood. In addition to McGrady (and the cap relief he would provide next summer), the Wizards are also believed to be interested in a "rotation" player, such as Luis Scola. Stay tuned.
January 31, 2010
The Rockets will apparently not be looking to accomodate Tracy McGrady in any trade this season, according to the New York Post.

Our View:Meaning they will deal him anywhere and pay no heed to any preferences he might have. This makes a T-Mac move to the Knicks highly unlikely.
January 16, 2010
The Knicks, Bulls and 76ers are Tracy McGrady's three most likely suitors at the moment, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Our View:No deal is thought to be imminent, however. The Rockets are believed to be seeking a "young, athletic big man" to pair with Yao Ming next season. Unfortunately for them, T-Mac might not be able to fetch such a thing in return.
January 12, 2010
Tracy McGrady continues to be the subject of a number of trade rumors, according to ESPN.com.

Our View:The Wizards, Bulls and 76ers are said to be the teams currently most conducive to a potential trade. It still seems like McGrady will be wearing a different jersey at some point before the end of the season.
January 1, 2010
The Wizards are "seriously" exploring the possibility of acquiring Tracy McGrady from the Rockets, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Our View:The report calls Caron Butler the most likely bait. As the losses and ill will continue to pile up in Washington, it's clear that things need to be blown up. Stay tuned.
