Stephon Marbury is making a final attempt to please new coach Mike D'Antoni, according to the NY Post. He showed up early for training camp in Las Vegas, and said, "Right now I've been told I'm going to be playing basketball here. I love New York. I want to finish my career here." He also commented on Antoni's up-tempo offense, "It's a system my game is built for. To have the opportunity to play in the system is definitely gratifying."

Our View:The 31-year-old is reportedly in good shape, but he is far from fixing his tarnished rep, and there remains the possibility he could be waived by the Knicks.

Stephon Marbury could be bought out of his contract with the Knicks, according to the New York Post. The addition of Chris Duhon to the team may make him expendable.

Our View:Marbury had been a nice fantasy player, but his numbers have gone down for each of the last three seasons. His fantasy value depends on where he ends up, but the potential is there for the 31-year-old to help a fantasy team.

The signing of Chris Duhon will allow the Knicks to part ways with Stephon Marbury, according to the New York Times. Sources informed the paper that Marbury's departure is a near certainty. It isn't known if he'll be bought out, traded, or waived.

Our View:If this report proves true, Duhon will see a huge boost in fantasy value. We doubt any team will be willing to trade for Marbury and his monster contract, and it'll be interesting to see where he lands.
