The Spurs re-signed big man Kurt Thomas on Tuesday, the Sports Network reports. Terms were not disclosed.

Our View:Thomas doesn't have any fantasy value at this point, but he can still board and knock guys to the floor.

The San Antonio Spurs want to bring Kurt Thomas back to the team, reports the San Antonio Express-News. “Whether(Tiago) Splitter was coming or not, Kurt Thomas was a guy we wanted to re-sign,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich told the paper.

Our View:Thomas is valued more on the Spurs than he is in fantasy basketball. His leadership and toughness is important to them, but means nothing to fantasy NBA players. His only real value in that respect are the rebounds he can offer.

Kurt Thomas played his first game for the Spurs on Monday night and he responded with four points and nine boards in just over 13 minutes of action. Thomas figures to be a defensive presence who will hit the boards hard, so don't expect consistent offensive production from him since 2004-05 was the last time he scored or rebounded in double-digits.
