Alonzo Mourning says in his new autobiography "Resilience: Faith, Focus, Triumph" that he has soaked his surgically repaired knee in tea to assist in his recovery and the results have been good according to the Sun-Sentinel. "It cut down the swelling, healed the soft tissue, bone and cartilage, and improved my range of motion."

Our View:The Heat are holding a spot on their roster in case Alonzo Mourning is deemed healthy enough to return from the knee injury that ended his 2007 campaign. His ability to block shots (1.7 per game in just 15.6 minutes) keeps him on fantasy radars.

The Heat are holding a spot on their roster in case Alonzo Mourning is deemed healthy enough to return from the knee injury that ended his 2007 campaign, according to the Sun-Sentinel. Pat Riley said, "We have to remember that this guy (Mourning) has proven above and beyond a doubt that he is capable of coming back from anything. We can never, ever discount the size of this man's heart, his courage and his will that he could overcome this, too. So, there'll always be an open mind to that."

Our View:Mourning will be 39 next February, and will not be productive enough to consider for fantasy rosters if he is ultimately able to return for another campaign in the NBA.

Alonzo Mourning recently required a another operation on his right knee, but he informs the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that he still hopes to play by the middle of the 2008-09 season. The center tore the patella tendon and a quad tendon in his right leg on December 19, 2007.

Our View:This warrior no longer has any fantasy value, and it's still amazing that he's even trying to come back at this point. Maybe he needs to start up a set of professional veteran's leagues with Brett Favre.
