April 11, 2008 Young big man LaMarcus Aldridge has earned a ton of playing time in recent weeks as the Trail Blazers play out the string and look towards next year, and the opportunity has helped him become one of the more reliable power forwards in the West. In the Blazers' 86-103 loss tot he Sacramento Kings tonight, Aldridge shot 11-of-21 from the floor to score 24 points, posting an impressive 15 rebounds, three steals, and three blocked shots along the way. Our View:The former Longhorn has posted double-digit rebound totals in seven of his last 10 games, averaging over 20 points per game during that same span. |

April 8, 2008 LaMarcus Aldridge was the story of the evening out west, putting forth a stellar effort to lead the Portland Trail Blazers in a big win over the Lakers, 112-103. Aldridge went 9-of-18 from the field to score 22 points, adding 16 whopping rebounds to complete one of his best individual performances this season. Aldridge will be in danger of losing his job or moving to PF next year when Greg Oden returns from injury, but we know, based on games like this, the kid should be involved. |
