Bobcats' GM Rod Higgins stated there is no truth to the rumor that the club is going to trade Raymond Felton to the Knicks, according to the Charlotte Observer. Higgins said he expects Felton to be Charlotte's starting point guard heading into training camp.

Our View:The rumor started following their selection of DJ Augustin in the first-round of Thursday's draft. Higgins does not anticipate Augustin unseating Felton from his starting role at point guard in 2008-09.

The Bobcats are "smitten" with UCLA guard Russell Westbrook, the Newark Star-Ledger reports. They hold the No. 9 pick in the June draft.

Our View:We're not sure if the Bobcats would move forward with Westbrook or Raymond Felton at the point, but Felton would presumably do most of the ball-handling. This would suggest they want to use a smaller lineup that also includes Jason Richardson, Gerald Wallace, and Emeka Okafor. That's a lot of athleticism.

Raymond Felton used tonight's season finale end on a high note as his Charlotte Bobcats put the Philadelphia 76ers to bed, 109-115. Felton went 6-of-12 from the field and 6-of-7 from the free-throw line to score 18 points, adding 12 assists to complete the double-double effort.

Raymond Felton recorded a double-double Friday night as he scored 23 points with 11 assists. He also made one steal and hit both of his shots from long range.

Raymond Felton led the Bobcats with 29 points thanks to solid shooting from the field (11-for-20), though it wasn't enough to lead the team to a victory. Felton also dished out eight assists, though he turned the ball over six times. Felton hadn't scored 20 points since December 12th, so you will just have to live with the six turnovers tonight.

Raymond Felton played through his sprained ankle Saturday, scoring 14 points and dishing out nine assists. Just as importantly, coach Sam Vincent intends to use Felton as the primary point guard going forward, according to the Charlotte Observer. "We’re looking to get the ball more into his hands," Vincent said. "Let him make decisions." That's great news for his fantasy value, as it means he'll handle the rock on most plays, which should lead to better scoring and assist totals, though it should also lead to a lower FG%. With Felton shifting from the two to one, Jeff McInnis, who had been the starting point guard, didn't even play. Newly signed Earl Boykins backed up Felton, instead.

Raymond Felton missed a chunk of the second half of Friday's run with a sprained ankle, according to the Charlotte Observer. It's not clear if it was his left ankle, which he's been nursing for a while now, or if he'd be able to play Saturday. If he can't, look for newly signed Earl Boykins to get some extra play at the point.

Raymond Felton missed Saturday's game with a left ankle injury, the AP reports. He suffered the injury in Friday's win at Chicago. We'll revisit with Felton before the Bobcats tip off Monday at the Clippers. Felton is hoping to play in that game; head coach Sam Vincent thinks a Wednesday return is more likely.

Raymond Felton missed Saturday's game due to a sprained and bruised ankle. He received treatment Sunday, and the Bobcats are optimistic that he'll be able to suit up for Monday's game, according to the Charlotte Observer. Felton's dinged up on a regular basis, but he usually toughs it out.

As expected, Raymond Felton didn't play on Saturday due to his badly sprained ankle. Since Jeff McInnis and Derek Anderson, who are the Bobs' other point-guard options, where out, too, Matt Carroll and rookie Jared Dudley started in the backcourt against the Pistons. "If they're out a week to 10 days, we probably need some help," coach Sam Vincent told the Charlotte Observer. Whether the Bobs sign a free agent to help out could give us an idea of how long they expect their PGs to remain out. For now, consider Felton iffy for the week ahead.

Raymond Felton sustained a badly sprained right ankle during Friday's game. "I'll try to play [Saturday]," Felton told the Charlotte Observer, "but they probably won't let me." Backup point guard Jeff McInnis is nursing a strained right quadriceps, and combo guard Derek Anderson is battling a sore knee, so it's not clear who might man the point Saturday against the Pistons.
