Chris Paul (knee surgery) may be deemed fit to return to the court in 7-10 days, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Our View:This is encouraging news, but the elite point guard should remain benched until further notice. Rookie Darren Collison has performed very well as a starter, but his fantasy stock will take a hit upon Paul's return.

Chris Paul (knee) has been cleared to participate in drills with the Hornets, albeit on three-quarters speed, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Our View:Paul continues to aim toward playing again this season, though it'll still be at least another week or two before he gets back on the court. Continue to hold onto him and hope for the best.
March 10, 2010
Chris Paul (knee) is still at least two weeks away from returning to the court, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Our View:Paul still has not been cleared to run. The Hornets are quickly falling out of playoff contention without him, though he does appear determined to return before the season comes to a close. The fact that he probably won't be back with any more than 10 games remaining on the schedule certainly puts his fantasy owners in a bind, though a player of his stature really has to be held onto unless it's confirmed that he won't be back. For now, hold onto him and cross your fingers with hopes that he's back as soon as possible.

Our View:The Hornets are hoping that he's cleared to run sometime this week, although whether or not he actually will be cleared remains up in the air. It's still somewhat unclear exactly when Paul will return, and his owners can do nothing but hold on to him and hope it's sooner rather than later (and hopefully at least some time this season).

Chris Paul will undergo arthroscopic surgery on Thursday at the hands of Dr. James Andrews to repair a meniscus tear in his left knee, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Our View:Surgery had been thought of as the most likely scenario for Paul over the last few days, so this news shouldn't come as a surprise. It's nice to know that the procedure will be performed by the best in the business, but Paul is still expected to be out for at least the remainder of February, if not longer.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter, Hornets All Star Chris Paul is set to undergo surgery on his left knee and could miss one to two months of action.

Our View:Paul is slated to have the surgery on Monday, so this appears to be a legit report. It's time to start looking for replacement options. He is still worth hanging onto, but if he misses the full two months he would only be back for the final two weeks of the regular season. Darren Collison will now start in his place and could be a nice pickup.

January 18, 2010
Chris Paul collected 18 points in today's 97-90 home loss to the Spurs, to go along with nine assists and four rebounds.
