Kevin Martin will be a game-time call for Tuesday's outing against the Jazz, according to the Sacramento Bee. He is recovering from a sprained right ankle.

Our View:Martin should be ready to return to fantasy lineups at some point this week, if not tonight. We will continue to monitor Martin' status, who is averaging 22.4 points per game this season.
December 1, 2008
Kevin Martin is aiming for Tuesday to return to the court following his bout with a sprained right ankle, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Our View:He will test his ankle today during practice. Barring a setback, Martin should be ready to return to fantasy lineups at some point this week, if not Tuesday.
November 28, 2008
Kevin Martin (ankle) will not play on Friday against the Utah Jazz, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Our View:When Martin is healthy, he has established himself as one of the orer's in the game. He can help a fantasy team out tremendously, which makes this injury all the more frustrating for his owners.
November 24, 2008
Kevin Martin remains out of action for the Kings, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:He will be missing his ninth straight game Monday against Portland due to a sprained left ankle. He shall remain stashed on fantasy rosters indefinitely.
November 23, 2008
Kevin Martin will miss another game Sunday against the Lakers due to his sprained left ankle, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:He will be missing his eighth straight game, and it remains uncertain when he may be ready to return. He shall remain reserved on fantasy rosters heading into the new week.
November 21, 2008
Kevin Martin will be out longer than initially expected due to his sprained left ankle. According to the Sacramento Bee, there is no timetable set for his return.

Our View:Martin underwent a second MRI recently that revealed no further problems, but his recovery is moving slowly. He has already missed six games and is a risky, at best, start for next week.
November 19, 2008
Kevin Martin is expected to miss tonight's game at New Orleans, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:He has been on the shelf for the last five games while dealing with a sprained ankle. He shall remain reserved on fantasy rosters.
November 18, 2008
Kevin Martin remains doubtful for Tuesday's game against Memphis due to his sprained ankle, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:He has missed four straight games due to the injury, and is likely to miss another. He shall remain reserved on fantasy rosters.
November 10, 2008
The Sacramento Bee reports that Kevin Martin is expected to miss the next seven to ten days with a sprained ankle.

Our View:Bobby Jackson could start in his place. Martin got off to a slow start but has rebounded and is averaging 22.4 points per game this season.
November 10, 2008
Kevin Martin's MRI on his left ankle was negative, and he is considered day-to-day, according to the LA Times.

Our View:He may try to play Tuesday against the Pistons. This is encouraging news, as he is averaging 22.4 points over seven games.
November 9, 2008
Kevin Martin was forced to leave the Kings game with the Warriors on Sunday night because of a left ankle injury, according to the Associated Press. Before leaving, he scored 27 points in 28 minutes of action

Our View:The Kings can ill afford to be without their leading point producer, but considering that this is reoccurrence of an existing ankle injury, it seems reasonable to assume that Martin could be forced to the sidelines for a while.
November 7, 2008
Kevin Martin is a game-time decision for Friday's game due to an sprained ankle, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Our View:We'll keep you posted on Martin's status, as he's been a great fantasy option so far this season.
November 5, 2008
Kevin Martin scored over 30 for the second time in three games as the Kings defeated the Grizzlies 100-95 on Wednesday. He finished with 33 points on 11-for-18 shooting.

Our View:Martin has been uncharacteristically inconsistent this season. In his other three games, he has failed to score over 17 points. Expect him to average somewhere in between, perhaps as much as 25 points per game.
November 1, 2008
Kevin Martin scored a game-high 31 points in Saturday's 121-103 loss to Orlando. He also chipped in four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Our View:Martin was only averaging 13 points over his first two games, and hopefully he can stay on track following tonight's strong outing.
October 31, 2008
Kevin Martin was disappointing in his first game but was just plain bad in his second of the season. He finished with nine points on 2-for-8 shooting.

Our View:Even worse, he had just one rebound, no steals and no assists. Martin put up 23.7 points per game last season and he should turn his season around very soon...we hope.
October 26, 2008
The Sacramento Bee reports that Kevin Martin missed Saturday's practice with a sore knee.

Our View:This is mostly a precautionary move and Martin should be ready to go and go big from the season opener. He averaged 23.7 points per game last season and got to the free throw line at a better rate than anyone else in the league.
October 20, 2008
Guard Kevin Martin led the Kings with 34 points in Monday's preseason loss to the Trail Blazers. He shot 10-of-13 from the floor and 12-of-14 from the line.

Our View:Martin could make a run at the NBA scoring title this season, and he is sensational when it comes to getting and sinking freebies. Those two stats make him a strong asset in fantasy leagues.
October 18, 2008
Kevin Martin scored 26 points in Saturday's 124-109 preseason loss to Dallas, with six rebounds and one steal. He played 36 minutes.

Our View:Martin has improved his scoring in each of the past three seasons up to his career best total of 23.7 points last season, but could continue to leave a bit to be desired in the other stat categories, hence hindering his fantasy value.
October 15, 2008
Kevin Martin did what he always does on Wednesday night and that is score points in bushels as he beat the Clippers defense for 29 points on 9-for-11 shooting from the field combined with a 9-for-12 effort from the free throw line.

Our View:Martin has improved his scoring in each of the past three seasons up to his career best total of 23.7 points last season. He may not contribute much in the other categories (4.5 boards and 2.1 assists), but if you are looking for someone to help you in the points category, this could be your guy.
April 12, 2008
Kevin Martin is being listed as out for Saturday night due to a strained right knee, this according to the Sacramento Bee.

Our View:The team hasn't confirmed this call yet, but the Bee's beat writer also mentioned that he felt Martin would miss the contest so to be safe plan on Martin missing the game.
April 5, 2008
Kevin Martin overcame the flu, an illness that caused him to miss the shoot around, to score 36 points in the Kings 118-115 victory over the Nuggets. Martin played almost 41 minutes on the night hitting 10 shots from the field including three from downtown. He did turn the ball over six times, but without those point the Kings would likely not have been able to keep up with the Nuggets.
April 5, 2008
Kevin Martin will end up playing on Saturday night after all, this according to the Sacramento Bee. Apparently Martin felt good enough after doing some work this afternoon that he will suit up to play against Denver.
April 5, 2008
Kevin Martin, Ron Artest and Brad Miller may all miss the Kings game with the Nuggets on Saturday, this according to the Sacramento Bee. Martin is dealing with the flu, Artest with a sprained left thumb and Miller with a lower leg strain. Throw in the fact that Beno Udrih is also expected to miss the game with a lower back strain, and there are likely a lot of unhappy fans in Dallas and Golden State who are battling the Nuggets for playoff positioning.
March 27, 2008
Kevin Martin was the man of the hour for the Sacramento Kings, posting an overtime 107-106 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. Martin went just 9-of-20 from the field but was a perfect 16-of-16 from the free-throw line, scoring 36 points with seven rebounds and four assists. It's amazing how Martin has taken control of this offense, scoring big point in nearly every outing this month. He likes to shoot and he likes to score.
March 21, 2008
Kevin Martin scored 20 points on Friday night, but in very unorthodox fashion as he was just 2-for-12 from the field but 15-for-17 from the free throw line. Martin continues to find ways to score no matter what the situation, but on this night he had only two rebounds and just one assist while having three of his shots blocked.
March 8, 2008
Kevin Martin impressively scored 48 points in a losing effort for the Kings on Friday. The next highest scorer on the team was John Salmons with 15. That is amazing considering he entered the game listed as questionable with his thumb injury.
February 22, 2008
Kevin Martin scored 15 points though he didn't hit his first FG until OT as he went only 1-for-8 from the field. Martin, who came into the game averaging 23.3 points, just couldn't buy a basket until late in the game as this was his sixth straight game of less than 45% shooting from the field.
February 12, 2008
Kevin Martin scored 26 of his 33 points in the first half of Tuesday's loss to the Griz. Martin, who is averaging over 23 points per game this year, recorded his second straight poor shooting performance. The Kings shooting guard was 9-of-23 from the field. In Sunday's loss to Golden State, Martin made just 3-of-16 shots. The third-year guard has been inconsistent as of late but is a must start in traditional formats.
February 10, 2008
Kevin Martin has been a scoring whiz for the Kings this season pouring in 23.3 points per game, but for the second time in three nights he was held to single digits as he made just 3-of-16 shots on his way to nine points against the Warriors. Martin was also 1-for-5 on three points and 2-for-4 from the line in an all-around poor performance. Strangely enough, if you remove those two single digit games, Martin has gone for at least 22 in his last six games.
January 12, 2008
Kevin Martin was back on the court as expected Saturday, playing 28 minutes in a loss to the Pacers.
January 12, 2008
