He had recorded at least 12 rebounds in his last four straight, so the six he came away with on Thursday will surely disappoint owners. |

January 7, 2010 After losing their third straight game on Wednesday, the Magic appear to be in a mental funk, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Our View:A topic of discussion in Orlando's locker room of late has been the absence of a vocal leader amongst the team's players. The team has often been flat at the beginning of games this season, leading some to think a fiery leader (besides Stan Van Gundy) could be beneficial. Dwight Howard doesn't see it happening, though. "Have you seen anybody be fiery since you've been here? We don't play like that, we just go out there and fight hard," he said. "Instead of being in a locker room after a big loss, yelling and going off, that's not going to change anything," he continued. "But sitting after the game, talking to each other, texting each other. That's the best way our team goes about doing things. It's not just in the locker room trying to be rah rah stand up." |
