October 7, 2008 Andris Biedrins was solid in his preseason debut for the Warriors on Sunday night. He was a perfect 4-for-4 from the field and collected eight rebounds and nine points in just 19 minutes. Our View:This is exactly what the big fella will do for you this season. He should be a lock for a double-double and shoot over 60 percent again this season. If he could increase his 1.2 blocks per game rate, he would have very good calue as a No. 2 center. |

August 1, 2008 Golden State head coach Don Nelson won $6,276,638.46 in a breach-of-contract ruling against Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, according to the Our View:This surely did not please Cuban, who not only claimed Nelson was the one who breached his contract, but used information he obtained as an employee of the Mavericks to help the Warriors upset Dallas in the first round of the playoffs in 2007. |
