Luol Deng returned to action on Sunday after missing a few games with a sore back. He led the Bulls with 21 points and pulled down nine boards in 37 minutes of work. He looked good and should be in all lineups this week.

Luol Deng remained sidelined on Saturday due to his sore back. "It's still a little sore, and it'd be tough to go back-to-back," Deng told the Chicago Tribune. He skipped Saturday's run in the hope that he'll be able to play on Sunday, but that may depend on how he feels in warm-ups.

Luol Deng was held out of Tuesday's game, as expected, due to his sore back. The earliest he's expected to return is Saturday.

The back injury Luol Deng sustained Thursday kept him out of Sunday's game. It's also expected to sideline him until at least Saturday, according to the Chicago Tribune. "I'm going to wait for [the pain] to go away." he said. "I thought it was one of those injuries I could play through, but I can't run or bend down. I don't even know how it occurred. I've never had anything like this." You know he had to be hurting, since he missed out on a chance to face trade-rumor partner Kobe Bryant on Sunday. Keep him benched for now.

Luol Deng missed Sunday's game because of lower back pain. "It's too bad he can't play tonight, obviously," coach Scott Skiles said in the AP. "He's another guy we have who has a small chance of doing something to Kobe (Bryant) with his length. But he's out, and we'll move on." Deng had to leave Saturday's game early because of the injury. It's not clear how much, if any, more time he'll miss.

Luol Deng was unable to complete Saturday's game. He's dealing with back spasms that have him considered to be doubtful for Sunday's contest, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. "I don't think I'm going to play," said Deng. That he may undergo an MRI on his sore back isn't a good sign. Stay tuned for updates on his condition, but it appears unlikely that we'll see him on the hardwood Sunday.

The Bulls don't appear to be concerned about Luol Deng's wrist injury. X-rays on the joint came back negative, though he was held out of Saturday's exhibition game as a precaution, according to the Chicago Tribune. Barring a setback, it appears that he should be fine for the start of the season.

Luol Deng was removed from Friday's exhibition game as a precaution just a couple of minutes into the first quarter after he suffered a bruised right wrist. " I kind of bent it backward," Deng said, according to the Chicago Tribune. "My hand was kind of behind me. I'm pretty sure it's not related to the other injury. I even wanted to go back in." The injury to which Deng referred was a torn ligament that required surgery during his rookie campaign. We'll keep an eye on him, but this appears to be a minor problem that shouldn't affect his draft status.

Bulls coach Scott Skiles planned on eventually getting Luol Deng playing time at the shooting guard spot, but nagging injuries to Ben Gordon and Thabo Sefolosha this preseason has sped up the timetable, as Deng already has played there in two exhibition games. Skiles told the Chicago Sun-Times that Deng presents matchup problems for opponents at the position.
