Josh Howard made his 2009 debut on Saturday night for the Mavericks, and it came in a win as Dallas defeated the Raptors 129-101. Howard scored 16 points and added four rebounds and three steals in the game.

Our View:Not a bad debut for Howard, as he made his presence felt on both ends of the floor. The Mavs are ecstatic that he is back in the lineup, and he should be a nice addition to fantasy squads who have been waiting for his return.

After missing the first five games of the season as he recovered from offseason ankle surgery, Josh Howard is expected to make his season debut on Saturday, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View:Don't expect any quick miracles from Howard, and you may want to wait a week before starting him in weekly leagues. He'll likely play somewhere around 20 minutes tonight.
