Jared Jeffries is expected to miss 6-8 weeks after fracturing his left fibula during Thursday's practice, according to the AP.

Our View:Jeffries contributed very little during his first two campaigns in New York, but was expected to have a larger role under new coach Mike D’Antoni because of his ability to play all three positions in the frontcourt.

Jared Jeffries saw his first game action of the year Tuesday, finishing with two points and three rebounds in 12 minutes off the bench. He had been sidelined with a sprained right ACL and bone bruise.

Jared Jeffries was unable to finish Friday's game due to a sprained right knee. An MRI revealed the sprain, as well as a bone bruise, according to the New York Daily News. He'll be re-evaluated in about two weeks, so he likely will miss at least the first few games due to the injury. He wasn't going to have any fantasy value, so this should only affect those in the deepest of leagues.
