Burnett outduels Reyes as Jays down Braves
Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Alex Rios drove in Marco Scutaro with the lone run of the game on a double in the sixth and A.J. Burnett was dominant through seven innings of work as the Toronto Blue Jays edged the Atlanta Braves in the rubber match of a three-game interleague series at Rogers Centre.

Burnett (8-7) was magnificent, allowing only four hits, while striking out 11 and walking four. The hard-throwing right-hander, who started his career in the National League, improved to 5-9 in 17 career starts versus the Braves. B.J. Ryan recorded his 16th save... More...

Player Notes
Alex Rios, RF Friday 7/4, 11:03 PM CT
Alex Rios went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Friday's 8-2 loss to the Angels. Both hits were singles. He also racked up a pair of stolen bases.

Our View:Rios had nine multi-hit games in June, and is off to a good start in July.
A.J. Burnett, P Friday 7/4, 10:51 PM CT
A.J. Burnett was rocked for eight runs (six earned) on 12 hits over seven innings in Friday's 8-2 loss to the Angels, with no walks and three strikeouts.

Our View:Burnett can only be solid for so long, and tonight's punishing loss snapped a two-game winning streak. He has given up six or more earned runs in three of his last seven starts.
David Eckstein, SS Friday 7/4, 8:14 AM CT
The Baltimore Orioles have looked into acquiring shortstop David Eckstein from the Blue Jays, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View:It is well known that Toronto is looking to offload Eckstein and his $4.5 million salary. However, in terms of fantasy play, his move to Baltimore would do very little to increase his value.
