Phillies agree to terms with Iguchi
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Phillies have reportedly reached a contract agreement with infielder Tadahito Iguchi.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Iguchi is expected to join the Phillies before Saturday's scheduled game against the New York Mets. It will be Iguchi's second stint in Philadelphia. The Phillies acquired Iguchi from the Chicago White Sox in the 2007 season to fill in for the injured Chase Utley.

After signing as a free agent with San Diego in the offseason, Iguchi hit just .231 with two homers and 24 RBI in 81 g... More...

Player Notes
Brett Myers, P Friday 9/5, 8:51 PM CT
Brett Myers improved to 6-1 since the All-Star break with an excellent performance in New York on Friday. He lasted eight innings and shutout the Mets' usually productive lineup. He struck out 10 while allowing just three hits.

Our View:Myers has clealy found his stride since the break. He has not allowed a run in three of his past four starts, yielding only two runs in his last 31 innings. Expect a solid September from him.
Shane Victorino, CF Thursday 9/4, 9:42 AM CT
Shane Victorino has been struggling for the Phillies recently, and has just five hits in his last 35 at-bats, so he did not play on Wednesday, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View:Victorino has had a solid season overall for fantasy owners, with 30 stolen bases and 11 home runs to go with a batting average of .281.
Kyle Kendrick, P Thursday 9/4, 9:39 AM CT
Kyle Kendrick has been bad in recent outings, and the Phillies will skip his next start, and possibly remove him from the rotation entirely, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View:Kendrick's ERA has risen to 5.06, and his K/BB ratio is fairly miserable. Don't let his 11 wins deceive you into thinking he deserves a spot on fantasy rosters.
