Tigers P Bonderman undergoes shoulder exam
Lakeland, FL (Sports Network) - Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Jeremy Bonderman's sore right shoulder showed no significant damage, after he underwent an exam arranged by team medical staff.

Bonderman returned to Detroit on Monday to have the ailing shoulder checked after experiencing stiffness since tossing his second batting practice session of the spring last week. Tests confirmed nothing more serious than inflammation.

For now, the right-hander will continue to take anti-inflammatory medication, but will not begin throwing again until the sore... More...

Player Notes
Scott Sizemore, 2B Sunday 9/5, 9:26 PM CT
The Tigers have recalled Scott Sizemore from the minors, according to MLB.com.

Our View:He'll serve as a backup at second base. The Tigers were expecting him to be their everyday second baseman this season, but he did not prove capable of doing so.
Casper Wells, LF Sunday 9/5, 4:23 PM CT
Casper Wells went 2-for-4 with a homer against the Royals on Sunday.

Our View:He's hitting .326 with two homers and nine RBI over 43 at-bats with the Tigers thus far. He should continue to earn at least a few starts a week and is worth monitoring in AL-only leagues.
Armando Galarraga, P Sunday 9/5, 4:21 PM CT
Armando Galarraga gave up one run over five innings against the Royals on Sunday.

Our View:He walked five but was able to minimize the damage. He's reduced his ERA from 4.53 to 3.89 over his past four starts.
