White Sox bring back Colon
Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago White Sox have signed former American League Cy Young Award winner Bartolo Colon to a one-year deal.

The 35-year-old Colon pitched for the White Sox in 2003, when he went 15-13 with a 3.87 earned run average. He went to pitch for the Angels the following season, and got his Cy Young in 2005, when he won a career-best 21 games for the Angels.

However, he has been in sharp decline since, not pitching in more than 100 innings in any season from 2006-08 and posting an 11-15 record and 5.50 ERA in 26 starts in the span.

Player Notes
Alex Rios, CF Sunday 9/5, 4:49 PM CT
Alex Rios went 1-for-3 with two walks, two runs and three steals against the Red Sox on Sunday.

Our View:That makes 32 steals on the season for Rios. He has seven his past 10 games.
Mark Buehrle, P Sunday 9/5, 4:47 PM CT
Mark Buehrle gave up four runs off 10 hits and one walk with six strikeouts over seven innings against the Red Sox on Sunday.

Our View:With Buehrle, you pretty much know what you're going to get; he's surrendered either three or four runs in five of his past six starts. He's 2-2 over the span.
Manny Ramirez, LF Sunday 9/5, 10:08 AM CT
Manny Ramirez is not in Chicago's lineup Sunday, according to Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune.

Our View:Manny's started each of the past three games, including both stanzas of Saturday's doubleheader, so this is most likely nothing more than a routine day of rest. Expect him to be back in there Monday.
