Orioles, Eaton reach minor league agreement
Fort Lauderdale, FL (Sports Network) - The Baltimore Orioles signed starting pitcher Adam Eaton to a minor league contract on Sunday.

Eaton had a rough two-year stint in Philadelphia, going 14-18 with a 6.10 earned-run average in 51 games -- 49 starts -- for the Phillies in 2007 and 2008.

The right-hander was sent to the minor leagues in mid-season of the 2008 campaign and failed to make an appearance with the big club in its stretch run to the World Series title. The Phillies released him on February 27.

Brian Roberts went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a steal and two runs against the Rays on Sunday.

Our View:Roberts is now batting .269 with eight steals on the year. He's no longer an elite option at second base but is still worth owning.

Chris Tillman, P

Chris Tillman gave up three runs over 5.1 innings against the Rays on Sunday.

Our View:Tillman allowed two homers, but other than that was not bad in his first MLB start in the past month and a half. He should be a part of Baltimore's rotation the rest of the season.

Adam Jones, CF

According to The Baltimore Sun, manager Buck Showalter does not expect Adam Jones (shoulder) to return to the lineup Sunday.

Our View:The team is impressed with Jones' recovery so far, and they like the progress he's making. Still, he'll likely miss his ninth of the past 11 games with the shoulder injury. Jones wanted to play Saturday, but Monday now looks like a best case scenario.
