"As long as I feel productive — productive and useful — then I'd like to keep going. And I've felt that way here." Percival has been outstanding for the Cards, holding a 2.00 ERA and 0.86 WHIP with a 33/8 K/BB rate over 36 innings, after coming out of retirement following nearly a two-year absence. He said it would probably take a closer or setup job for a West Coast team to convince him to think about pitching a full season.

Troy Percival plans to make a comeback this season. "He called me [Friday] morning and said, 'Let's go,' " said Paul Cohen, Percival's agent. He's leaning toward a comeback and is supposed to give me his final answer [today]."
