Matt Wieters went 1-for-3 with a single and an RBI in tonight's 5-2 loss at the Angels.

Our View:The Orioles only mustered five hits in the game. The prized rookie catcher has a hit in three straight games, and an RBI in each of the last two.

Matt Wieters went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 7-6 loss at Florida. He had a single and a solo homer off Leo Nunez.

Our View:The prized rookie catcher has six hits, two homers and six RBI over his last five games. He should remain penciled into fantasy lineups while he is hitting well.

MASNsports.com is reporting that Orioles' catcher Matt Wieters is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Phillies. He will be replaced by Gregg Zaun.

Our View:Wieters is just getting a day off today against Phillies' lefty J.A. Happ, so nothing to worry about. As Wieters gets more comfortable at this level, he should develop into in solid starting fantasy catcher in all leagues.

In his 14th major league game and 48th at bat, Matt Wieters hit his first home run off of Tim Redding in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Mets. It was his only hit in three at bats, but he also drew a walk, recorded two RBI, and notched a run scored.

Our View:Wieters is only hitting .240, but there's no reason to give up on the uber-prospect at this point. He has eight hits in six games, but tonight also marked his first RBI in his young career.

Matt Wieters will start behind the plate in tonight's game at Seattle, according to the Seattle Times.

Our View:The prized prospect is worth penciling into fantasy lineups. Both of his hits so far went for extra bases, one a double and the other a triple.
