The St. Paul Pioneer Press is reporting that the Twins plan to recall pitcher Anthony Swarzak and infielders Matt Tolbert and Brian Buscher on Tuesday when rosters expand. Manager Ron Gardenhire indicated that these will be the only players to come up until the Triple-A season ends on September 7.

Our View:All three of those players have seen time with the Twins this season, and they will proved depth for the team as they make their playoff push. The Twins believe they are still in the race, and they have been active in acquiring pitchers Ron Mahay and Jon Rauch in the last week.

Anthony Swarzak has been optioned to Triple-A Rochester.

Our View:Swarzak has gone 3-7 with a 6.25 ERA for the Twins, so this move isn't surprising. In his last four starts for the team, spanning just 9.1 innings, he allowed a whopping 24 runs.

Anthony Swarzak was rocked for six earned runs on eight hits over 5.1 innings in Thursday's 11-1 loss at Texas. He had two walks and four strikeouts, and was tagged for four homers.

Our View:Swarzak falls to 3-7 with a 6.25 ERA. He has taken a loss in four straight starts, and gave up four or more earned runs in each outing over the span. The rookie is only an option for deeper fantasy leagues right now.

Anthony Swarzak was roughed up for five earned runs on eight hits over a mere four innings in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Indians at the Metrodome. He had one walk and two strikeouts, and was tagged for two homers.

Our View:Swarzak falls to 3-6 with a 5.87 ERA, and has taken a loss in each of his last three starts. The rookie is only worth using in deeper fantasy leagues right now.

Anthony Swarzak was lit up for seven earned runs on eight hits over one inning in Friday's 10-8 loss at Detroit. He had no walks and one strikeout, and was abused for two homers.

Our View:The rookie had a nightmarish outing tonight, and allowed four earned runs over three innings in his previous start against the Angels. Swarzak is only an option for deeper fantasy leagues right now.
