Anthony Swarzak has been optioned to Triple-A Rochester by the Twins, according to the Star Tribune. Jose Morales was recalled by Minnesota as the corresponding move.

Our View:Swarzak hurled seven scorless innings with six strikeouts today against the Cubs, but the club sent him down with Glen Perkins set to be activated from the DL early next week. Swarzak is only worth holding in AL-only leagues.

Anthony Swarzak was outstanding on Saturday in the Twins' 2-0 win over the Cubs in interleague play. Swarzak went seven scoreless innings and allowed four hits while walking one and striking out six.

Our View:Swarzak was dealing out there today, and the Cubs had trouble getting anything going at the plate. Swarzak is now 2-2 on the year, and his performance today lowered his ERA to 3.90. He could be worth a look in AL-only leagues, but don't expect this every time out.

Anthony Swarzak was not in control from the mound in Monday's 4-3 loss at Oakland, as he allowed three earned runs on four hits over a mere 3.2 innings of work. He issued three walks with three strikeouts.

Our View:He ended the night with a no-decision, and has given up 12 earned runs over his last three starts, and has no wins over the span. He is not fit for fantasy duty right now.

Anthony Swarzak allowed three earned runs on five hits over six innings in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Red Sox at the HHH Metrodome. He had four walks with three strikeouts, and gave up two homers.

Our View:Swarzak fired seven scorless innings in his season debut against Milwaukee, but was not as lucky against the Sox. He will likely be dropped from the rotation when Glen Perkins returns.

Anthony Swarzak was phenomenal in his career debut against Milwaukee on Saturday, picking up the win after seven scoreless innings while allowing five hits and two walks with three strikeouts.

Our View:With such a great first start, the 23-year-old Swarzak makes for a intriguing AL-only pickup after posting a 2.25 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 32:11 K:BB ratio over seven starts with Triple-A Rochester this year.
