Travis Snider is currently on the Minor League disabled list with a back injury and he is not expected to be back until early July, according to MLB.com. He tweaked his back after appearing in eight minor league games this season.

Our View:Snider started the season with a lot of promise, but he only hit .242 through 32 games with Toronto. he was not doing much better in Triple-A as he was hitting only .258. The Jays recent signing of David Dellucci means it could be a while before Snider rejoins the major league club.

Travis Snider has been optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Snider has a bright future ahead of him with Toronto, but was sent down as he is struggling at the plate with a .242 average over 99 at-bats, with 25 strikeouts and only three homers. He should be back when he finds his swing and rebuilds his confidence in the minors. The top prospect should not be dropped from fantasy rosters.

Travis Snider has been struggling at the plate, namely in the power department, and he could be sent down to the minors if he does not find his swing soon, according to the Toronto Sun. Skipper Cito Gaston said, "Right now, he is not really making contact, is he. Whatever happens, we will try to do the right thing with him."

Our View:Snider was a candidate to break out with Toronto this season, but the 21-year-old outfielder has not registered a hit over his last three games, and has not hit a homer since April 13. Adam Lind replaced him in the outfield Tuesday.

Travis Snider had a big night in Toronto's 8-6 win over Minnesota on Monday. As the ninth hitter in the order, he went 2-for-3 with two home runs, three RBI, two runs scored, a walk and a stolen base.

Our View:The Blue Jays have been hiding Snider at the bottom of their order all season long, but it won't take long for him to inspire a level of fear in his opponents. He arguably has as much talent as any rookie in the league right now and should be owned in most formats.
April 6, 2009
Travis Snider went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double as the Blue Jays beat the Tigers 12-5 on Monday.

Our View:Snider hit ninth in the lineup, but he figures to move up in the order in time. He had an excellent season across several levels in 2008, but he should stick to the majors in 2009. He is one of the more promising young outfielders in the game.
