Player Notes
October 3, 2009
Travis Snider went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in a 6-3 loss to the Orioles on Saturday.

Our View:There was plenty of hype surrounding Snider before the season started, but he failed to deliver. The promising prospect has hit just .242 with nine homers and 28 RBI.

Travis Snider went 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI in tonight's 4-1 loss to the Twins at the Rogers Centre.

Our View:The Jays only mustered six hits in the game, and Snider was their lone source of scoring. Snider has a hit in three of his last four games, with two RBI over the span.

The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled outfielder Travis Snider from Triple-A Las Vegas, according to the Twitter page of beat writer Jordan Bastian. In a corresponding move, the team optioned Joe Inglett to the minors.

Our View:Snider is hitting ninth and playing right field for the Jays tonight, and he has been on fire in the minors as of late. He could be worth a flier in AL-only leagues, and if he can translate the hot streak from Triple-A to the majors, he could be worth a look in mixed leagues as well.

Travis Snider hit a pair of home runs for Triple-A Las Vegas on Sunday, giving him 12 on the season for Vegas.

Our View:Snider has had a disappointing season for fantasy owners after failing to stick with the Jays major league roster early in the year, but he has caught fire recently, winning PCL Player of the Week last week and hitting .322-12-36 for the season in 150 at-bats. He figures to be promoted if Alex Rios is moved.

MLB.com is reporting that Blue Jays' minor league outfielder Travis Snider was named the PCL Player of the Week after posting 11 doubles, three home runs, 15 RBI, and going 14-for-26 over the last week.

Our View:Snider is still a very good prospect for the Jays, but after a slow start with the big club this season he was sent down. It looks like he has it figured out again, so don't be shocked to see him get some time in the Blue Jays' outfield before the season is out.
