Johnny Cueto allowed just one hit in six innings on Wednesday as the Reds squeaked by the Diamondbacks 1-0.

Our View:Cueto has developed into a truly exceptional starter in 2009, and now has a 2.69 ERA and microscopic 1.12 WHIP through 103.2 innings.
June 25, 2009
Johnny Cueto won his seventh game of the season on Thursday, despite surrendering five earned runs in the Reds 7-5 victory over Toronto.

Our View:Cueto has quietly developed into a top of the line fantasy starter after an inconsistent 2008. You might be able to buy low on the talented righty right now as his reputation hasn't caught up to his numbers yet.

Johnny Cueto got hammered by the White Sox on Saturday as the Reds fell 10-8. Cueto went 4.2 innings and allowed five runs on ten hits while striking out four. He did not factor into the decision.

Our View:Cueto has been very good this season, but he was not tonight. He got victimized by the long ball tonight as the Sox bombed three off of him, but one bad start is no reason to condemn him. Expect Cueto to rebound in his next start, and if he does we can chalk this one up as just not having it for one night.

Johnny Cueto pitched well on Sunday but was hit with the loss as the Reds fell to the Royals 7-1. Cueto went six innings and allowed five unearned runs on seven hits while walking one and striking out four.

Our View:Cueto didn't get much help from his offense or his defense today, and he was hit with the loss despite not giving up an earned run. He is still a solid play in all leagues.
June 9, 2009
Johnny Cueto enjoyed a solid outing in Tuesday's 3-2 win at Washington, as he only allowed one earned run on four hits over seven innings. He had four walks and five strikeouts.

Our View:Cueto has won back-to-back starts, and allowed one earned run in both outings. The rising star continues to pitch well for Cincinnati.
