The New York Daily News reports that Rule 5 pick, Steven Register , has cleared waivers. The Mets are trying to work out a trade with the Rockies that would allow them to keep the reliever and place him in the minors instead of the required 25-man roster that's required from a Rule 5 draftee.

Steven Register has been placed on waivers, according to NY Daily News. He allowed four runs on 12 hits over eight innings of work this spring, with six strikeouts and no walks.
