Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports that catcher Craig Tatum has been claimed off waivers by the Baltimore Orioles.

Our View:He had been a Red. Tatum hit .162 in 68 at-bats for Cincinnati last season. He could serve as Baltimore's back-up behind Matt Wieters in 2010.

Craig Tatum made the most of his start on Tuesday. The rookie catcher went 2-for-4 and drove in a career high four runs in the Reds' 11-5 win over the Pirates.

Our View:Tatum had just two RBI on the season before Tuesday's outburst and is not relevant in fantasy leagues. Nice day for the rook though.

The Reds have recalled Craig Tatum from Triple-A Louisville after placing starting catcher Ramon Hernandez on the disabled list, according to The Sports Network.

Our View:Tatum was hitting just .239 through 64 games at Louisville this season. He likely won't be getting much playing time.
