MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports that Jarrett Hoffpauir has been sent back to Triple-A.

Our View:So much for him being the Jays everyday third baseman.
June 22, 2010
According to Jordan Bastian on Twitter, the Blue Jays have named recently promoted infielder Jarrett Hoffpauir as their everyday third baseman.

Our View:We're skeptical as to how long this experiment will last, but for right now Hoffpauir is an intriguing add in AL-only leagues. He was hitting .328 with nine homers and 43 RBI in Triple-A, so the stick is there, but he's a defensive liability and it may cost him his spot down the road. His playing time could also take a hit when Travis Snider returns from the DL and Jose Bautista would likely take over at third.

The Blue Jays recalled infielder Jarrett Hoffpauir from Triple-A Las Vegas on Sunday.

Our View:Hoffpauir was tearing up Triple-A pitching and earned a promotion due to his .332/.383/.539 line. He may be able to put up decent offensive numbers, but is a defensive liability so it remains to be seen how many at-bats he'll actually get.

MILB.com reports that infielder Jarrett Hoffpauir recorded his second cycle of the young season on Friday night.

Our View:The second baseman carries a .963 OPS and is probably due for a call up. However, as long as Aaron Hill is healthy, Hoffpauir will remain at Triple-A.

The Jays have claimed Jarrett Hoffpauir off waivers from the Cardinals, according to Toronto's official twitter page.

Our View:Hoffpauir could develop into a solid hitter in the majors, but could also be hindered by poor defensive skills. He won't start in Toronto as long as Aaron Hill remains intact at second base as well.
