Brandon Boggs has been placed on the 60-day DL by the Rangers, according to MLBblogs.com. He has a dislocated left shoulder.

Our View:The 26-year-old outfielder only hit .059 over 17 at-bats with Texas this season. He will not be missed in fantasy leagues.

Brandon Boggs has been optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City by the Rangers, according to the Sports Network. The club activated hurler Willie Eyre from the 60-day DL as the adjoining move.

Our View:Boggs failed to prove his worth to the Rangers, as he only chipped in one hit over 17 at-bats since being recalled on June 2. He won't be missed in fantasy leagues while working on his swing in the minors.
June 2, 2009
Brandon Boggs has been recalled by the Rangers from Triple-A Oklahoma City, according to TSN.

Our View:He was hitting .278 in the minors, and was recalled to provide depth in the outfield with Josh Hamilton headed to the DL with his groin injury. His at-bats look to be limited though, with David Murphy, Nelson Cruz and Marlon Byrd the starting trio. Boggs is only worth a look for the deepest of AL-only leagues.
March 6, 2009
Brandon Boggs hit his first home run of the spring and drove in three runs as the Rangers fell to the Royals 8-7 Friday.

Our View:The 26-year-old Boggs is in a battle for a roster spot with Andruw Jones. With Marlon Byrd and David Murphy likely to battle for the left field job, even if Boggs makes the club it doesn't appear like there will be a lot of AB available.
August 19, 2008
Brandon Boggs will bat leadoff when the Rangers host the Tigers on Tuesday night. It will be his second straight game in the top spot, which is typically occupied by Ian Kinsler.

Our View:Heading into Monday, Kinsler owned 514 of the team's 540 at-bats out of the leadoff spot. Boggs doesn't hit as well as Kinsler, but he does a decent job of drawing walks. The outfielder could be in a good spot to help fantasy teams for at least the next two weeks.
