Carlos Muniz has been sent down to Triple-A New Orleans, according to the NY Post. He was sent down to make room for John Maine to come off the DL.

Our View:Muniz held little fantasy value as a reliever, with a 5.40 ERA and 1.33 WHIP over 23.1 innings, with only 16 strikeouts.
July 9, 2008
Carlos Muniz has been recalled yet again from Triple-A New Orleans. This time he will replace Tony Armas, who was placed on the DL.

Our View:Muniz has been ineffective in 11.2 innings in big leagues this year, posting a 6.17 ERA. He is 2-4 at Triple-A, with eight saves and a 3.86 ERA.
July 3, 2008
After just three appearances since being recalled on June 24, Carlos Muniz has once again been demoted to Triple-A according to the New York Daily News.

Our View:The reliever was very ineffective, allowing at least one run in each of his appearances. Still, the Mets like him enough. He will continue to make adjustments at Triple-A and could be back with the ballclub for the stretch run.
June 24, 2008
The Mets recalled Carlos Muniz from Triple-A Norfolk after Tuesday's game. He held a 5.14 ERA in six games earlier this year with the club.

Our View:Muniz will pitch in middle relief and will have minimal fantasy value.
June 3, 2008
As expected, Carlos Muniz has been sent down to Triple-A New Orleans, according to the MetsReport.com. The team needed to make room for Pedro Martinez, and Muniz was seen as expendable.

Our View:Muniz was nothing special as a reliever this season, as he allowed four runs on eight hits over seven innings, with four strikeouts. He held little fantasy value prior to his demotion.
