Justin Ruggiano has been recalled to take the roster spot that became available when Even Longoria was placed on the DL with a fractured wrist, according to the Tampa Tribune.

Our View:Ruggiano could see regular playing time in the outfield with the injury to Carl Crawford. Ruggiano was hitting .315-11-51 in 66 games at Triple-A Durham while also stealing 20 bases, so he could certainly be worth starting in AL-only leagues.
June 22, 2008
Justin Ruggiano was optioned to Triple-A on Sunday, according to MLB.com. The team did not announce a corresponding roster move.

Our View:With Jason Bartlett likely to miss a few days to be with his pregnant wife, and Akinori Iwamura likely to serve his 3-game suspension, the team will probably choose to call up a utility infielder, likely either Ben Zobrist of Elliot Johnson.
May 4, 2008
Justin Ruggiano has been optioned back to Triple-A Durham, according to the Tampa Tribune. The team needed to free up a roster spot for ace pitcher Scott Kazmir's return to the rotation, and Ruggiano was seen as expendable.

Our View:Ruggiano was just brough in as insurance for BJ Upton, but Upton is fine and returned to the Rays' lineup on Sunday.
May 2, 2008
The Rays recalled Justin Ruggiano from Triple-A Durham Friday. He had three hits in 10 at-bats earlier this year with Tampa.

Our View:Ruggiano was brought up as insurance with B.J. Upton banged up. His stay figures to be a short one.

Justin Ruggiano has been recalled from Triple-A Durham, according to the Tampa Tribune. The move was made to fill the roster spot vacated by Cliff Floyd, who is headed for the DL due to his knee injury.
