Jerry Blevins has been recalled from Triple-A in order to take the roster space which opened when Keith Foulke went on the disabled list, according to The Sports Network.

Our View:Blevins did not have great numbers last season, but he has been very good in the minors this year, with a 2.78 ERA and 10 saves for the Triple-A Sacramento. He may hold value in fantasy leagues that utilize holds.

The A's recalled Jerry Blevins from Triple-A on Saturday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. "It's nice to get him in here and we really could use him," manager Bob Geren said. "And that is really what (the minor-league system) is all about." In 56 appearances between four minor-league levels, Blevins holds a 1.63 ERA with 102 Ks in 77 innings. He'll work in middle relief for the A's.
