Player Notes
June 18, 2008
The Yankees shifted Jonathan Albaladejo from the 15-day to the 60-day DL on Wednesday. He is out for the season due to a stress fracture in his right elbow.

Our View:That's a tough break for a 25-year-old reliever with a promising arm.

Jonathan Albaladejo doesn't have a strained muscle in his elbow, the injury is actually a stress fracture that will cause him to miss the rest of the season, according to ESPN.

Our View:Jonathan made only seven appearances before going down with the injury, but this just leaves another spot in the Yankees bullpen to fill with Joba Chamerlain in the starting rotation.
May 10, 2008
Jonathan Albaladejo is headed to the DL due to either a strained muscle or a sprained ligament, according to NY Daily News. He said, "It felt like a needle going into my elbow."

Our View:Albaladejo allowed six runs on 15 hits over 13.2 innings, with six walks and 13 strikeouts. He also recorded one loss, and held a 1.54 WHIP. He held no fantasy value prior to his injury.

Jonathan Albaladejo has been called up from Triple-A Scranton to replace Yankee catcher Chad Moeller who was designated for assignment on Friday, notes the New York Post.

Our View:Albaladejo was added in an effort to bolster the bullpen.

Jonathan Albaladejo has been called up from Triple-A Scranton to take Joba Chamberlain's place on the roster, according to the NY Post. Chamberlain will be out until his father's health situation is resolved (collapsed on Sunday, listed in critical condition).

Our View:Albaladejo will fight for playing time out of the Yankees' pen until he returns.
