Player Notes
August 19, 2008
Brian Buscher went 3-for-4 with a homer and five RBI in Tuesday's win over the A's. He also scored two runs.

Our View:That's the second time this season that Buscher has driven in five runs. He has been crushing right-handed pitching (.354 average) and should continue to start at third against righties.
July 26, 2008
Brian Buscher is doing the most with his playing time, and went 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBI in the Twins victory over Cleveland. Buscher has now hit in eight of his last nine games.

Our View:Buscher is making the most of his playing time, and although he does not play in every game, he is somebody to keep an eye on, especially in AL-only leagues.
July 7, 2008
Brian Buscher is penciled in to make another start for the Twins at third base tonight, and will be looking to extend his hitting streak to five games, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:He is hitting .333 over 66 at-bats for the season, and has also recorded an RBI in each of his last two games. He is worth starting in AL-only leagues while he is hot.
June 25, 2008
Brian Buscher hit his first home run of the season Tuesday night off of Padres closer Trevor Hoffman, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune.

Our View:Buscher is hitting .401 in his last seven games, and has at least two hits in four of those contests.
June 14, 2008
They waited until the top of the 12th to make their charge, but the Minnesota Twins found five runs in that late hour to win 9-4 over Milwaukee. Third baseman Brian Buscher led the effort, going 3-for-5 with three singles, totaling three RBIs and two runs scored on the night.

Our View:Buscher is just getting going as a contributor on the game's biggest stage, but tonight shows he may have a place in the lineup.
