The White Sox have placed Kelvin Jimenez on outright waivers. He is not currently part of the major league club, but is on their 40-man roster.

Our View:Jimenez had been struggling mightily at Triple-A Charlotte, posting a 5.34 ERA, and looks as if he may have reached the end of the line. In 49 career major league appearances, he has a 6.82 ERA and 1.76 WHIP.

Reliever Kelvin Jimenez was claimed off of waivers by the Chicago White Sox from Toronto, according to the AP.

Our View:Jimenez was with St. Louis last season, spending most of his time in Triple-A before he was let go. Toronto subsequently picked him up, and now he is property of the White Sox.

MLB.com reports that reliever Kelvin Jimenez was claimed off of waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday.

Our View:Jimenez made 15 appearances for the Cardinals last season and finished with a 5.63 ERA and 1.79 WHIP over 24 innings. He walked 15, while striking out only 11.

Kelvin Jimenez could get called up by the Cardinals, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:The reliever would be brought in to protect their pitching for their stretch of 18 games in 18 days. He wouldn't be worth acquiring as a fantasy prospect, especially since he issued six earned runs and four home runs over 6.1 innings of work with the Cardinals this season.

Kelvin Jimenez had his minor league assignment with Memphis rescinded Friday after the Cardinals determined that his hand ailment would prevent him from pitching, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Jimenez has been placed on the major-league, 15-day DL.

Our View:Jimenez surrendered six earned runs and nine hits over 6.1 innings of relief work for the Cardinals this season, with two walks and only three strikeouts. He held no fantasy value.
