Nate Schierholtz pounded four hits on Sunday in the Giants' 7-0 win over the Brewers. Schierholtz went 4-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored, and an RBI in the win.

Our View:Schierholtz is now hitting .316 on the year, which is pretty impressive, but his limited playing time is keeping him from being fantasy relevant. If he sees more playing time he could be an option, but until then owners should stay away.

Nate Schierholtz drove in San Francisco's lone run on Tuesday as the Giants lost 8-1 to the Angels.

Our View:Schierholtz now has nine RBIs in 84 at-bats. Average for a pinch hitter, well below average for a solid fantasy baseball player. Needless to say, he has little to no fantasy value.

Nate Schierholtz led the way for the Giants on Sunday in their 7-1 win over the A's. Schierholtz was 2-for-4 with a home run, a run scored, and three RBI in the game.

Our View:Schierholtz has very little fantasy value at this point, but he could be someone to watch down the line. He has the tools, and he figures to have an impact on the fantasy game at some point. Stay away for now though.

Outfielder Nate Schierholtz went 1-for-2 on Saturday night, and he also played his first defensive inning of the season, the San Jose Mercury News notes.

Our View:Reports this spring and early season suggest the Giants still see Schierholtz as their future right fielder, but Bruce Bochy doesn't like giving Randy Winn, Fred Lewis, or Aaron Rowand any time off. Schierholtz is just waiting for an injury or trade to open up playing time.

Nate Schierholtz, who is recovering from a bulging disk in his back, noted that he felt no pain after hitting in the on-field cage Wednesday, according to the SF Chronicle. That marked the first time he hit since sustaining the injury.

Our View:He could play in a game either Sunday or Monday. If healthy, Schierholtz would be worth a look as a late-round flier, in case he works his way into a starting spot in the outfield.
