Bryan LaHair went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored in today's 11-4 win over the Reds in the Cactus League. He hit a single and a three-run homer off Micah Owings.

Our View:Today's performance should help improve LaHair's odds of winning a backup roster spot at first base, but he should continue to be ignored as a fantasy prospect.

The Cubs have signed Bryan LaHair to a minor league contract, according to Fox Sports.

Our View:LaHair is a decent-hitting first baseman who will have a chance to win a role as a pinch hitter while backing up Derrek Lee with the Cubs heading into next season.

Bryan LaHair has been optioned to Triple-A Tacoma by the Mariners, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

Our View:LaHair hit three homers with a .250 average over 136 at-bats with Seattle last season, and would be worth a look in AL-only leagues if he gets recalled at some point during the season.

Seattle rookie designated hitter Bryan LaHair was a star of the show in tonight's 11-10 loss to the Rangers, going 3-for-4 with his second home run of the season, posting one RBI and three runs scored on the night.

Our View:That's six consecutive games with hits for the rook, going deep in each of the last two.

Outfielder Bryan LaHair, who was recently recalled from the minors, will get a look at first base, now and for the immediate future, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Manager Jim Riggleman said, "We just want to see what he can do. He's done some pretty good things in the minor leagues the last couple years, and he's going to have a chance to hit off major league pitching here and hopefully take advantage of it."

Our View:He batted .263 for Triple-A Tacoma this season, with 53 RBI, 26 doubles and 12 homers in 85 games. Being an option at first will give him more chances to play, and he is worth taking a shot on in AL-only leagues if you are in need of a corner infielder.
