January 22, 2010 Jose Arredondo has signed a minor league deal with the Reds, according to the Our View:Arredondo was supposed to undergo Tommy John elbow surgery, but it is uncertain if he actually did. He was also reportedly stabbed in a Dominican carwash in mid-December. He had great stuff when healthy, but his status for 2010 is in question. |

December 13, 2009 Jose Arredondo, Matt Brown and Dustin Moseley were all non-tendered by the Angels on Saturday. Our View:Arredondo has electric stuff, but will miss all of 2010 due to imminent Tommy John surgery. The Halos may end up keeping him with a minor league deal. |

December 11, 2009 Jose Arredondo is slated to undergo Tommy John surgery in January, according to Jorge Arangure's (ESPN) Our View:The reliever is expected to miss the entire 2010 campaign while recovering. He is coming off a disappointing season, and will now have a long rehab ahead of him following the operation. |

July 20, 2009 According to the Our View:Arredondo has be outstanding as of late for Salt Lake, and the Angels are expected to give him a chance to reclaim his role as the setup man to closer Brian Fuentes. The Angels are still in the market for a veteran reliever, but it would be a huge boost to the bullpen if Arredondo could return to form in the coming weeks. We will keep you updated on his status going forward. |

June 29, 2009 Our View:These reports are much better than was expected, but it is still an elbow injury to a pitcher, which usually means he will be out for a significant amount of time. With his struggles this season, look for Arredondo to spend a good amount of time in the minors, thus eliminating him from fantasy consideration for the near future. |
