Foxsports.com reports that pitching prospect Nick Adenhart has been scouted by the Colorado Rockies as a possible trade piece in a Matt Holliday deal.

Our View:The Angels may also be interested in LHP Brian Fuentes or Garrett Atkins. Adenhart has made three starts with the Angels this season and is 1-0 with a 9.00 ERA and a 2.58 WHIP.

Nick Adenhart was sent down to the minors to work on a few things a day after posting a decent start for the Angels (5.2 innings, four runs to earn his first victory), according to MLB.com. "They stressed to me to go back and work on command and consistency," Adenhart said. "I knew John [Lackey] was coming back, so I understand the situation."

Our View:Adenhart walked 13 guys in just 12 innings, and given that he stuck out only four batters, it's no surprise that he has a 9.00 ERA and 2.58 WHIP through three starts. He will be back when a need arises, but he still has a way to go before becoming fantasy worthy.

Nick Adenhart got his first major league win on Monday as the Angels recorded a hard fought 10-7 victory over the White Sox. Adenhart allowed four runs on nine hits, walked four and struck out three.

Our View:Command has been Adenhart's Achilles, and while he walked another four hitters on Monday he was able to keep the offense in the game and get his first win. Until he can command his arsenal better, he is subject to be beat around the park in most of his starts.

Nick Adenhart toiled again on Tuesday night, but he held the Royals to three runs over 4.1 innings. The rookie allowed six hits and walked five batters before departing.

Our View:The 21-year-old right-hander still has a bright future, but he's now walked 10 batters over 6.1 innings. He clearly has some things to work on back at Triple-A, which is where he'll likely head soon.

Nick Adenhart will get at least one more start with the Angels despite his rough debut Thursday, according to the LA Times. "It's not uncommon for a kid in his first start to try to do too much," manager Mike Scioscia said in the LA Times. "He has a great arm, great stuff; we'll see him pitch better. It was one of those nights."

Our View:Adenhart was pitching on three day's rest for the first time in his career, so it wasn't really surprising that he struggled. Hopefully he'll bounce back next week in KC.
