After dropping his appeal, Indians infielder Asdrubal Cabrera began serving his three-game suspension on Tuesday, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Cabrera will be available to return on Friday. He is not much of a fantasy option, so his absence likely won't be felt in that regard.

Asdrubal Cabrera has been suspended three games for his part in the Tigers-Indians brawl last Friday, according to the Associated Press. Cabrera's penalty is set to start on Thursday, though it is unclear if he will appeal the ruling.

Our View:Cabrera is hitting .413 in 63 September at-bats with a 1.032 OPS, so his loss is clearly a pretty big blow to fantasy squads. The only hope is that he will appeal the ruling and serve it at the start of next season, but that seems rather unlikely.

Asdrubal Cabrera went 0-for-3 on Sunday from the ninth hole to drop his average to .247.

Our View:Why is this news? How about because Cabrera has quietly been smoking at the plate hitting .463 in 14 September games and .310 over his last 51 starts. He has clearly reestablished himself as the Indians starter at second base and a potential middle infield play in deep mixed leagues next year.

With 22 total hits in the game, the Orioles and Indians were happy to do battle with the bats tonight, though the Indians prevailed 7-5. The Indians used shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera as the weapon of choice, going 3-for-4 at the dish with his 12th double of the season, adding one RBI and two runs scored.

Our View:Cabrera has steadily improved and already has two homers in August, just one shy of his season total entering the month.

Asdrubal Cabrera was forced out of Wednesday's game in the sixth inning with what appears to be an ankle injury.

Our View:He was injured while running back onto the field to take his position. We will keep you posted when more details regarding his status are disclosed.
