Player Notes
June 15, 2008
Ben Francisco hit a three run home run off Greg Maddux in the third inning of Sunday's 7-3 win over the San Diego Padres.

Our View:The home run was Francisco's fourth in 150 at bats this season.
June 12, 2008
Ben Francisco had a big day for the Indians hitting from the third slot in the order with four hits in five trips to the plate. He also knocked in three runs.

Our View:Francisco certainly isn't a number three hitter at this point of his career, but with injuries to Travis Hafner and Victor Martinez the team needs someone to step up in the heart of the order, and for a day at least, Francisco did just that.
June 2, 2008
Ben Francisco went 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI in Monday's win over the Rangers.

Our View:The rookie had cooled off a bit after tearing it up in mid-May. AL-only fantasy owners are already on board, and Francisco may deserve a look in larger mixed formats.
May 24, 2008
Ben Francisco continued his hot hitting Saturday, picking up a double and a three-run homer in the win over Texas.

Our View:Francisco is now hitting .365 with two homers and 11 RBI in just 19 games. Ride him now while he's hot, but expect him to come back to earth eventually.
May 23, 2008
Ben Francisco received his 10th straight start and second straight start in the cleanup spot Friday and responded with two doubles, a single and two RBI. The outfielder's night could've been better, but umpire Damien Beal incorrectly ruled Francisco's drive in the sixth an RBI double instead of a three-run homer.

Our View:Francisco is now hitting .356 with a homer and eight RBI in 59 at-bats this year. He profiles as more of a fourth outfielder or platoon guy, so don't go overboard with your FAAB bid for him, but he could be a temporary fill-in.
