Brian Dopirak hit a pair of homers for Double-A New Hampshire on Saturday, giving him 10 for the season.

Our View:Dopirak got quite a bit of press early in his pro career with prodigious numbers in the low minors, but he has moved up slowly ever since. Still, he did hit 29 homers last season and is off to a nice start this season, albeit against lesser competition at age 25.

The Cubs designated Brian Dopirak for assignment on Monday. He was once a fairly decent prospect, but his star has dimmed over the last year or two.
