Jacoby Ellsbury left the ballpark twice against the Rays on Wednesday for his first two home runs this spring.

Our View:Ellsbury's value clearly comes in his ability to get on base and steal bases, and he hasn't yet reached a double-digit home run total in his young career. We wouldn't jump to any conclusions after just one game, though he does appear to have it in him to possibly hit 15-20 homers at some point in his career. Whether or not that happens this year remains to be seen, though it would be certainly be a welcome addition to his resume.

Jacoby Ellsbury will continue to be encouraged to steal bases whenever he gets on base, according to the Boston Globe. "With a great baserunner like that, you want to do it as often as possible," general manager Theo Epstein said of Ellsbury. "Jacoby manages to steal a lot of bases at a very high percentage... He set a pretty high bar last year, but I wouldn't put it past him to exceed it this year."

Our View:Not that anyone was worried about Ellsbury being held back on the base paths, but it's still nice to hear that sort of encouragement from a hands-on general manager like Epstein. Expect Ellsbury to be near the top of the stolen base leaders again in 2010.

As has been specualted for some time, Jacoby Ellsbury will move to left field, Jason Bay's old position, in 2010, according to the Providence Journal.

Our View:Vaunted defender, and recent signee, Mike Cameron will take over in center. The move will have no effect on Ellsbury's fantasy value, besides possibly keeping his legs just a tiny bit fresher.

Jacoby Ellsbury could be moved to left field in 2010, according to the Boston Herald.

Our View:Ellsbury is an average defender, at best, in center field, and he could have a much larger defensive impact on the game in the tiny left field at Fenway Park. Whether or not Jason Bay returns to Boston will obviously affect this. Stay tuned.

Jacoby Ellsbury went 2-for-4 with a triple and scored the only run for the Red Sox in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Angels. Boston now trails 2-0 in the ALDS.

Our View:Ellsbury was the only Boston position player to record multiple hits in the game and his triple gave the Sox a very brief 1-0 lead. But Jared Weaver proved too much for the rest of the lineup and Boston fell short.
