Player Notes
October 1, 2009
Chris Waters allowed just one run in five innings on Thursday night, good enough to win his first and last start of the year, as Baltimore beat the Rays 3-2 in Tampa Bay.

Our View:Waters, age 29, has just 76.1 career innings under his belt, and might not figure into the Orioles' plans next season.

Chris Waters has been recalled by the Orioles from Triple-A Norfolk, according to TSN.

Our View:Waters holds a 5.01 ERA and 1.53 WHIP over 11 starts with Baltimore this season, and is only worth a look for deeper fantasy leagues during his latest stint with the club.

Chris Waters has been sent down to Triple-A Norfolk, according to MLB.com. Skipper Dave Trembley said, "Waters has disappeared. He was here for an emergency and we sent him back. Jason Berken is in the bullpen tonight. Hopefully, we do not need him."

Our View:Waters currently holds no fantasy value while working on his skills in the minors, and it sounds like he won't be returning soon unless the Orioles suffer injuries.

Chris Waters has been optioned to Triple-A Norfolk by the Orioles, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View:Waters held a 5.01 ERA and 1.53 WHIP over 64.2 innings (11 starts) with Baltimore in 2008, and did not impress the club in spring training to earn a roster spot.
September 21, 2008
Chris Waters allowed two home runs to the Yankees (Johnny Damon and Jose Molina) on his way to permitting five runs over 5.2 innings in his fourth loss of the season.

Our View:Waters saw his ERA balloon to 5.06 and the 10 runners he allowed didn't do anything for his WHIP (1.50). With his soft tossing game, Waters needs to have pinpoint control to enjoy success; tonight he didn't have it.
