September 8, 2007 Garrett Olson will miss his next start due to left forearm tightness. "We'll take the course of being conservative and cautious," Orioles manager Dave Trembley said, according to the Baltimore Sun. "I just think it's best he doesn't make his next start." Trembley said he likely would choose between relievers Rob Bell, Kurt Birkins and Brian Burres to replace Olson next week. The injury isn't serious, but the O's are going to take it easy with their rookie. Hopefully, he will be ready to take the mound soon. |

The team can get call Olson back up quicker by sending him to Bluefield than if he went to Triple-A Norfolk, as Bluefield's season ends in less than 10 days. |

Olson offers strikeout potential, with 94 whiffs (against 31 walks) in his 104 innings at Triple-A this year. |
