July 3, 2008 Garrett Olson allowed six runs (five earned) on eight hits, walked two and struck out two in Thursday's 10-7 loss to the Royals. The southpaw was not involved in the decision. Our View:Olson had lost two straight decisions coming into tonight's game, and while he was in line to win the game upon his departure, he didn't pitch well enough to deserve a cheap victory. |

June 28, 2008 The Orioles will bring LHP Garrett Olson this evening as they resume the Battle of the Beltway, facing the Washington Nationals in interleague action, according to the Our View:Olson lost his second straight decision on Sunday against Milwaukee, allowing four runs and four hits in five innings. Olson defeated Washington on May 16th in his only other start against them, surrendering three runs and nine hits in five innings. |

June 22, 2008 Garrett Olson allowed four runs in over five innings against the Brewers as he was saddled with his third loss of the year. Our View:Olson has fallen on hard times of late having allowed 14 runs in his last three starts leading to an 8.40 ERA. With a lack of production like that, you don't need us to tell you that it's best to leave him on your bench until he turns things around, if he can that is. |

Olson pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing six runs (all earned) on seven hits with three walks and no strikeouts. Our View:Olson gave up two homers on the evening. He surrenderd just one long ball through his first six starts, but has given up four over his last three. |
