Billy Sadler has been optioned to Triple-A Fresno by the Giants, according to the SF Chronicle.

Our View:The 27-year-old has recorded 48 strikeouts over 48.1 career innings in the majors, but he also allowed 39 hits and 29 walks. He needs to improve his control before he returns to the Giants.

Billy Sadler has been recalled from Triple-A Fresno, according to the AP. Right-hander Sergio Romo has been designated for assignment as the adjoining move.

Our View:Sadler issued 13 earned runs, 18 walks, and 17 hits over 23.2 innings of relief with the Giants this season, and does not garner fantasy consideration.

Billy Sadler has been recalled from Triple-A Fresno, according to GiantsMLBnewsblog. The team also optioned struggling righty Brad Hennessey to Triple-A.

Our View:Sadler was 0-0 with a 1.13 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 16 innings at Fresno. He will fight for playing time out of the Giants' bullpen.

The Giants purchased the contract of Billy Sadler from Triple-A Fresno Thursday. Sadler held a combined 2.43 ERA with 79 strikeouts in 55 2/3 innings for Fresno and Double-A Connecticut. He will work out of the Giants bullpen.
