The Indians optioned Tom Mastny to Triple-A Buffalo Wednesday.

Our View:Mastny hardly made a case to stick around, holding a 10.18 ERA in nine games.
July 1, 2008
Tom Mastny has been recalled by the Indians to take the spot of Scott Elarton who had to leave the team due to personal reasons, according to MILB.com.

Our View:Mastny is 1-0 with a 1.71 ERA and 34 K in 26.1 IP at Triple-A Buffalo this year, but he still has to prove he isn't one of the Four-A players who can dominate in the minors but struggle in the majors. He will go into middle relief and have little value at all for now.

Tom Mastny, who was called up from Buffalo to made his first big league start Tuesday, was optioned back to Buffalo today, this according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View:Mastny was moved when the Indians decided to bolster their heavily used bullpen. Reliever Brian Slocum took Mastny's spot on the 25-man roster.
June 3, 2008
There was speculation that Brian Slocum could be called up from Triple-A to make a spot start Tuesday in place of the injured Jake Westbrook, but it has been decided that the Indians will go with Tom Mastny instead tonight against Texas, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View:Mastny was previously recalled from Triple-A Buffalo, and allowed two runs on two hits over 1.2 innings of work, with three walks. He does not merit fantasy consideration as a starter for tonight.
June 2, 2008
Reliever Tom Mastny has been recalled from Triple-A Buffalo, according to the AP.

Our View:This will be his second stint with the Indians this season, and he allowed two runs and two hits over 1.2 innings, with three walks. He does not merit fantasy consideration.
May 11, 2008
Tom Mastny was sent back to Triple-A Buffalo following Saturday's win over the Blue Jays.

Our View:Mastny had made just two appearances since being called up on April 15, so this move shouldn't hurt any fantasy teams.
April 15, 2008
Tom Mastny has been called up from Triple-A Buffalo, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Closer Joe Borowski has been placed on the 15-day DL, and Mastny will fill his open spot on the roster.

Our View:He racked up 52 strikeouts over 57.2 innings pitched in 2007, and will fight for playing time out of the Indians' pen.
March 26, 2008
The Indians optioned Tom Mastny to Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday morning, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. The news means that Craig Breslow has made the team.
