The Nationals optioned Melvin Dorta back to Double-A Harrisburg after Monday's game, according to the Washington Post. Dorta, who was just called up on Friday, went 0-for-1 during his brief stay in Washington.

The Nationals are expected to purchase the contract of Melvin Dorta from Double-A Harrisburg to take the place of the injured Jose Guillen on the roster, according to the AP. Dorta is hitting .277 with four homers and 25 steals for Harrisburg this year. He will be used as a utility infielder with the Nats.
