Player Notes
August 10, 2009
Manuel Corpas is set to play catch Tuesday, according to the Denver Post. He had bone chips removed from his right elbow last month.

Our View:He is hopeful of returning to the Rockies in September. He is only worth holding in deeper NL-only leagues.

Manuel Corpas has landed back on the 15-day DL, according to TSN.

Our View:Corpas will undergo surgery tonight to remove bone chips from his right elbow. He is expected to be on the shelf for at least a month while recovering.

Less than a week after getting activated from the disabled list, Manuel Corpas will undergo surgery on Friday to have bone chips removed from his right elbow, according to the Denver Post.

Our View:He will be placed on the disabled list, and is not expected back until September. Corpas has not pitched well this season, and is not worth stashing.

Manuel Corpas has been activated from the disabled list.

Our View:Corpas has been out nearly a month with right elbow inflammation. He should be in line for some holds, and could be worth an own in leagues with middle relievers if he gets his 5.40 ERA down a little. His WHIP is above 1.40 since the beginning of 2008, however, so his value is limited.

Manuel Corpas has deemed himself fit to return to the Rockies' bullpen following his recovery from bone spurs in his right elbow, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Corpas could be activated from the DL prior to Thursday's game, but it is uncertain if the 26-year-old will return to his setup role immediately, namely as Joel Peralta has been pitching well in his absence.
